A trip to the world of Disney, in this case Walt Disney World, brings you into a one of a kind adventure and experience like no other. There are many places where you can travel that will certainly change your daily routine and your feeling of place. The mountains can do that. The beach can do that. A cruise can do that. But nothing changes your sense of place, your daily routine grind, and your happy spot like one of the Disney Parks. I’m a grandparent who enjoys these parks a lot and I can only imagine how wonderful it must be for children of age (those old enough to recall the experience later).
On a recent trip back to WDW it was remarkable to see that even on crowded days the amazing ways that people and children of all ages can, en masse, enjoy the day encountering so many exciting rides, shows, characters, attractions of all types, shopping, food and drink. These are all darlings of Disney. From the moment you check in to your resort or walk into the Park you feel the magic and are ready to be transformed into the world of the Animal Kingdom, or the world of Hollywood Studios, or the Magic Kingdom, or the Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow (EPCOT) which is a combination of two worlds, Future World and the World Showcase. Disney does this like no other and they do their best to make you feel that you are their guest. Whether you are buying a Mickey Mouse head ice cream, jumping on the latest super ride or eating in one of the fun restaurants, they treat you as a “guest” to be served.
My wife and I have been to Disney in Florida and California several times and each trip has had its special moments and great memories. But I think we both feel like the memories we are making in the last couple of trips have been so special with grown kids and grandkids. Our grandson, granddaughter, two daughters and son-in-law are our Disney Darlings. They make it extra special and magical for us. We love the Disney Parks but even more, we love them being in the parks with us!
