A Dress for all Seasons
by Sunny
Two years ago, my sister, Wendy, bought me this dress; a gift for my birthday. At that time, there were no H&M stores in my hometown, so I was thrilled to be getting a dress that I would more than likely not see on anyone else around town. I wore it out that night for my birthday dinner and have worn it regularly ever since. I also found that I could change the look of the dress to fit the season. In fact, I feel that I can make this dress work for all four seasons. Take a look below and decide for yourself!
Spring: I received the dress in May, so I will start with a spring look. My new favorite way to change up an outfit is to pair a sweater or button down over a dress, giving the illusion of a skirt and top. I like the way the top of the dress peaks out of the v-neck here. I added a metallic belt and chose comfy flats that are practical enough for teaching or cute enough for Sunday brunch.
Summer: I have to admit, as much as I love the lazy days of summer vacation where I don’t have to change out of my pjs or put on makeup, I still love to get dolled up for special events in the summer. This is a look I might wear to a wedding or a date night with my husband. I love these peep-toe nude heels, and I have to give props to Wendy again for buying me the adorable clutch! I used a braided side up do to keep my hair from frizzing in the summer humidity.
Fall – I have a great dislike of tights and pants, so I will avoid them at all cost. I am able to postpone them a bit longer in this dress by wearing it with boots. I added a brown sweater to complete the look.
Winter – For Winter, I have used a long-sleeved black t shirt and black tights under the dress. I love these black heels (also H&M!).
A big hug and kiss for my 5-year-old daughter for taking these pictures! xoxo

You’re welcome, sis! You look so cute! I bought that same dress for myself and you just gave me new ideas on how to style it.
